Following the recent Kikuyu traditional wedding between President Uhuru Kenyatta’s son Jomo and his fiancée Fiona Achola in Gatundu, someone suggested that she looked like comedian Eric Omondi.
Never one to take a challenge, Omondi has gone ahead to act as a bride dressed in traditional Kikuyu marriage regalia and the similarity is amazing.
In recent days, Omondi has proved he has an uncanny knack of imitating almost every public figure.
When the post likening him to Fiona first emerged, Omondi, who claimed he was at State House at the time appeared to dismiss it. But he has turned it around to the delight of his fans.
“Hey guys my small sis just got married to the Presidents son. Congratulations sis we are proud of you. Please check my location above. Sipendangi Ujinga (I don’t entertain nonsense),” he captioned the photo on Instagram.
The ceremony which is known as Itara, took place last Saturday at Ichaweri in Gatundu, setting the stage for the young couple’s church wedding to take place next month.
The ceremony, which covered all cultural aspects of a Kikuyu wedding, was an introduction of Fiona and her family to the Kenyatta family and assured her that she had been accepted as one of their own.
Fiona is a niece to Defence Cabinet Secretary Raychelle Omamo.
