These customary procedures have been misused by bride’s families to exploit the boy-child, turning us into cash-cow. This has in-turn forced us to become beggars, who shamelessly solicit for money from our friends, as we try meet these contrived standards.

The ban will be lifted after we discuss with various stakeholders, and agree on a capped fee which all Boy-Child’s will adhere to,” stated Nyakundi.

It is not yet clear whether these are the ‘capped’ fee Nyakundi was talking about.
