Three weeks ago, media personality and reggae femcee Njambi Koikai posted on her Facebook page pleading for monetary assistance from her fans and friends in order to undergo specialised treatment in US.
In her post, the celebrity revealed that she suffers from thoracic endometriosis, a condition which causes her lungs to collapse due to an abnormal collection of air or gas.
“Hey fam. I need your help. I’m seeking specialised treatment in the States to remove the endometrial lesions in my lungs due to thoracic Endometriosis. I have undergone more than 10 surgeries and this is happening every month. I am kindly asking for your help. I’m in need of Sh10 million for the cost of excision and treatment,” she posted.
Ms Koikai said that she has persevered the condition since her childhood, which later culminated to lung collapsing two years ago.
“I was that girl that everyone dismissed. Fainting during assembly, extremely heavy bleeding, excruciating pain until we got here. It has been a battle for the last 18 years and 2 years of lung collapses,” she added.
According to reports, Ms Koikai has been receiving treatment at Avenue Hospital. However, the doctors can’t operate on the lungs anymore without the excision.
