Ken Okoth’s ‘Second Wife’ Wants Son Recognised (Photos)
The late Kibra MP Ken Okoth’s burial is marred with controversy now, with details emerging that the legislator had a son with Nyeri nominated MCA.
The five-year old son is said to have been included in Okoth’s will, but the alleged wife wants the son recognised publicly, a situation that has caused a push and pull in the close friends and family of Okoth.
According to reports by the Star Okoth met the woman in question
in 2011 while the woman was working as a nurse at the Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi, before she was nominated to the county assembly during the 2017 General Election.
At one time, the MP is said to have stayed together with the woman at a house along Ngong Road in Nairobi.
“Both the paternal and maternal grandparents have met the child and have lived with him for days. Ken loved the son very much and there is nothing in question,” a source privy to the affair told the daily.
Earlier on, Okoth’s mother had refuted reports that he had a child with any woman.
“Ken did not sire any child. I know many women will come out to claim they have at least a child with Ken,” said Okoth’s mother Angelina Ajwang’ .
Ken had no biological child with the current wife, Monicah, but they had adopted three children.
Monicah is said to be opposed to the idea of recognising the son publicly, despite him being included in the will.
