I Used Ksh56 Million To Help Senator Linturi Build Meru and Runda Homes – Marianne Kitany
The divorce case between Meru Senator Mithika Linturi and alleged wife Marianne Kitany has taken a new twist, after she told court that she funded the construction of their Meru and Runda homes at a cost of Ksh56 million.
Ms Kitany says that she spent at least Ksh30 million for their Runda home and at least Ksh26 million to repair Linturi’s home in Meru.
The former Chief of Staff in the Deputy President’s office also said that she used to pay house rent for Linturi when he was broke and had rent arrears.
“Mithika used to have rent arrears. At some point I gave him Sh200,000 for rent,” Kitany said.
Kitany had earlier revealed that their affair blossomed after she took Linturi to Naivasha to block him from tabling a motion to impeach then Devolution CS Anne Waiguru in Parliament.
It was during this stay in Naivasha in 2014 that the two became lovers and got married during the Easter weekend of 2016.
Kitany also said that she paid Ksh11 million fo Linturi and his sons to go to Australia to visit the senator’s son, as well as a family trip to Zanzibar.
The family also had another trip to Mauritius in December 2015 with all kids, costing her Ksh800,000.
