Today’s Madam model is Raisa Ochola. The Kenyan-born beauty, who now resides in Australia, is on her way to becoming the next Super Model jetting off to exotic places, smiling for the cameras and striding the catwalk.
Last year, she was named a finalist in the Australian Supermodel of the Year competition.
In an interview with Courier Mail at the time, Ochola said her lifestyle choices needed to be 100 per cent spot on. This involves eating the right food, working out and walking.
“My body has to look perfect on the day,” she said.
“Judges will also be looking for a more natural look, they don’t want fake eyelashes or fake hair.”
“But every day I try to live with a winner’s mentality and carry myself with composure and confidence.”
Raisa hopes to follow in the footsteps of New York-based and Logan-bred supermodel Catherine McNeil, who was one of the first Aussie girls to take on the competitive US modelling scene, paving the way for other aspiring models. At age 14, she took out the Girlfriend Model Competition.
“Modeling is my niche! I have worked on a variety of fantastic projects in Australia, America, South Africa & Kenya. I am at home on the runway. Editorial, commercial, high fashion, glamour and life modeling also make me feel SO ALIVE! I am a budding, passionate presenter/TV personality,” Ochola says.
My goal is to represent beauty with reason..with a purpose. I am fun to work with, because I love what I do. However, I take my art very seriously and strive to do what it takes to get what we need. I love love love collaborating with creative geniuses of all kinds, and learning, laughing and living my life the way I have always dreamed I would,” she adds on her profile page on Starnow.com.
